Dan King KBMG: Previews
Senorita Del Sol (previously unreleased) KBMG live
Senorita del Sol was written by Dan King in the summer of 2007 specifically on the 4th of July.
After a walk through Stage Fort Park on the ocean Dan witnessed a scene of multi-cultural heaven as all kinds of languages, fashions, sports and leisure rejoiced in their celebration of the birth of the United States. Dan confesses the song was written in his head before he made it home and immediately turned on the mic, hit record and finished it in a couple takes. The song has become a standard of the KBMG set and this performance at Berklee was one of their best!
Senorita del sol
the sun has kissed your skin
and turned it into gold
you have a heart so deep I tremble at it's hold
my Senorita del sol
a voice so warm it whispers beauty to the world
a joyous gift you bring to every boy and girl
love in the sun, don't let that feeling go away
love in the sun, hold on to all those happy days
Senorita del sol
the first hours of the world belong to you
every child you bring shows me that it's true
my Senorita del Sol
